You put the crank case together once
to check the bearing fits.
This picture was taken after the final
assembly, and you can see I'm getting
ready to assemble the pistons. I've
white out and sharpies to mark the
various parts.
Since I did all this work I've torn the
the engine down again to have the crank
nitrided. I had assembled it right
before the issue of crank failures and
nitriding as the solution came up.
