Here you can see Wessman's 5th bearing installed on the engine.
One of the difficulties I found was using the guage film Dan supplied with the kit to get the housing aligned.
The first time I did this the film was tight on the bottom, and I wound up tearing a piece of it off, so I took the whole thing back apart.
The second time it was tight on the bottom again. This time I realized it should be tighter on the bottom.
Gravity is holding the weight of the crank down on the film.
Lifting ever so gently I could slide the film right out.
I wound up drilling and reaming all the holes a second time, this time to 5/16"
What looks like junk setting on top of the engine are actually 2 tools.
I used a plastic peanut butter cup as guide to slide the engine seal on. THe cup already has the perfect taper, and I cut all the way around the cup, to make a band. I then cut the band so I could wrap it around the crank extension and the fastened it with a piece of painters tape. It worked great.
The other "tool" is 3" PVC pipe coupling used with a hammer to tap the seal in place.
