My longeron splice is a modification from
the plans.
I've cut a .040 releif into the 1/8 thick
front anlge so that where the front
overlaps the rear they come out flush.
This eliminates the splice piece.
I've used 1/8 angle instead of the 3/32
because I wasn't able to locate 3/32.
