The first finished part
has shown me that flush
rivets aren't hard, and
worth the extra work.
I might not be able to
give a really good reason
for dimpling the skins.
In part I wasn't crazy
about the Chriz Heinz
method of using modified
rivet pullers to reform
flush rivet heads into domes.
In part it was for looks.
Part of the thinking was
thinking about doing things
like paint preparation and
even washing. I didn't want
those little rivet heads
sticking up all over the
place.
