When I need to bend something thick
I use hard wooden blocks with the
radius I want on their edge and some
angle to allow for spring back.
I clamp the metal between the blocks
in my vice and hammer it over with
a hard rubber mallet.
I've bent many parts this way and the
blocks hold up well. One in this
shot is walnut the other maple.
