After 2 weekends of making tools and jacking out rivets the sparcap is finally removed.
Some of the rivets were very hard to get to, so I sacraficed my rivet removal tool by cutting down to almost nothing to get the last few rivets out.
There's no way this photo can describe what difficult task this was.
The lesson is take your time and do it right the first time.
