By making the new spar cap wider, I'm able to salvage the skins which would otherwise also be ruined.
Given that the new spar cap is wider, and therefore the rivet line is further from the spar, I've opted to make the new one out of .040 material intead of .032.
It was a several week delay getting back to where I was before I messed up.
Here is the new wider spar cap installed.
